Ecotech manual flat bed lathes are constructed of Meehanite castings, the bed guide box ways are induction hardened and precision ground on Ecotech way grinding machines. The saddle guideways are coated with turcite wear-resistant material which minimizes the possibility of low speed stick-slip. The main spindle has three support structures to insure high accuracy and increased rigidity. The headstock features hardened and ground synchronized gears that are lubricated by an automatic lubrication system.
