The M1450B has been very successful in prototype work and in aircraft work were they use exotic materials. The spindle workhead can be set to a live or a dead center. On the M1450B the pick feed can be set to feed in on either end of the traverse or at both ends and has a variable feed adjustment. The wheelhead must be manually retracted by actuating the feed handle.
